Rostra Troubleshooting Tips: 250-1775 Cruise Control Switch Kit

1. For the gray wire attachment in the BCM, there are two connectors that look identical. Always use connectors with white/black wire in position 62. Insert gray into position 61 beside white/black.
2. Check the black wire with a meter for ground resistance no higher than than 3 ohms with the motor running.
3. Check both the red and blue wires with a meter for 12-volts ignition power with the motor running.
4. Make sure that the gray wire is in the proper position according to the installation manual for that vehicle.
5. Make sure that the switch is transmitting to the module. The voltage will change on the gray wire when you press Set or Resume with the control switch and ignition on. If there is no change, re-program the switch to the module.
6. Check resistance across the harness disconnect gray from vehicle.
• Gray to brown will read 7.87K ohms
• Gray to green will read 1.43K ohms.
• Gray to yellow will read 4.22K ohms.
• If there are any resistances not shown, replace the cruise control kit.
