How to Relocate the Tailgate Backup Camera on a 2019-2022 GMC Canyon

For the 2019-2022 year-models, GMC equipped Canyon trucks with two different types of rear cameras for basic backup camera functionality that include a traditional analog camera with a 6-pin tailgate connector, or a digital (LVDS) camera with a single-pin connector. Since these cameras use different types of connectors it is important to identify which type the vehicle utilizes for its video signal before ordering a camera relocation kit.
